This is our fifth and final week studying the Old Testament feasts and how they pointed to Christ.
This Sunday is celebrated among the Christian church as Palm Sunday, the day recorded in all four gospels (Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; and John 12:12-19) when Jesus entered Jerusalem to crowds waiving palm branches and crying out “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel” (John 12:13). While the city was teeming with those gathered to celebrate Passover, the very Lamb of God was moving into place to lay down His life as final and complete atonement for sin.
May the voice of the Church shout “Hosanna, My Savior!”
